At Peace for Women – West Nile, we believe that empowering women economically is one of the most effective ways to build stronger families, resilient communities, and sustainable local economies.
When women have the skills, confidence, and financial independence to earn a living, they become powerful agents of positive change.
Our Women's Economic Empowerment Programme equips women and girls with practical vocational skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to markets and business opportunities.
Through these interventions, women are able to establish sustainable livelihoods, increase household incomes, and contribute meaningfully to community development.
The programme focuses on expanding access to vocational and business skills, strengthening financial management, promoting entrepreneurship, increasing income-generating opportunities, and building women's confidence and leadership.
Our key activities include vocational skills training, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), business development services, financial literacy training, market linkages, and start-up support through mentorship, business incubation, and networking opportunities.
Through these initiatives, hundreds of women across the West Nile region have improved their livelihoods by starting and growing businesses, strengthening their savings culture, accessing new markets, and becoming financially independent.
These achievements have led to stronger families, improved household welfare, and more inclusive economic growth.
