Abaru Peace serves as Executive Director of Peace for Women-West Nile (PfW-WN), providing strategic leadership to advance women’s rights, protection, and livelihoods across the West Nile region.
She oversees program design and delivery, safeguarding and accountability systems, and evidence-based advocacy focused on preventing and responding to gender-based violence, promoting inclusive peacebuilding, and strengthening women’s economic empowerment.
Abaru leads partnership development with communities, local authorities, and humanitarian and development actors, while ensuring strong governance, staff capacity building, and transparent resource management.
She is recognized for principled, survivor-centered leadership and a commitment to measurable impact.
